Recording of my office before anyone else is in. The only sound apart from the faint fan noise is a regular, very, very faint beep from something every few seconds (approx. 3. 7 khz). Zoom h5 with xyh5 capsules.

Formula one race cars pack passing in turn 11 after the back straight at the 2012 australian grand prix 1st lap after a restart during the race. 1st lap recorded with 1m25sec to complete lap at average 158mph. Cool breakdown part towards the middle that could probably be re-sampled for something else. The batteries in the po400 died towards the end of the recording which caused the loud sweeping sound. Field recording of a train ride in the western outskirts of paris. I wanted to capture what passengers actually hear when they take that train. It's a bombardier regional train with diesel engine. This is simportant because it gives this particular train a distinctive acoustical fingerprint: you can hear engine bursts (a bit like a bus hitting the gas) no electrical train does that. . . It also has a nice roaring drone. Recorded with a zoom h2n in stereo x/y mode.

Jet-ski being started on a lake in florida. Microphone on dock directed at jet--ski, jet-ski driven fast away for about 75 yards, slowly turned around, driven back to shore at more moderate speed. Engine turned off when it reaches shore, waves from jet-ski also heard. (when jet-ski reaches shore it is off axis for the microphone). Seadoo 2 stroke engine. Rode ntg-2, sound devices mix-pre, zoom h4n.
